It’s a comment sentiment: “The Authorities have destroyed Cardiff’s history & heritage with their cavalier planning and bull-dozers”. And whether you subscribe to that view or not it’s always surprising to have it pointed out exactly how much rich history has survived that you walk through “down town” …… and constantly ignore! So, come for a walk with me from the Castle to the south end of St Mary’s Street, from Mediaeval times to present day. We’ll stop off on the way at a few places to better experience that history. And send you home with possibly a very different view of our “home town”.
