Dr John Pitts is a retired family doctor and medical educationalist who is going to talk about how an exploration of a family history led through a trail of major events in Welsh and English history. The third century rebellion in occupied Britain against the Roman Empire by Carausius and Allectus that lasted for ten years, with well-researched and plausible explanations for the claim that they were, in modern terms, Welsh will be described. The story so captivated him that he wrote a novel to address the gaps in the historical records.
