Come along and share the crafts you already do or maybe pick up some new ideas from other members. This group meets once a month and it often stimulates shared learning of skills and opportunities to try new things.
Members supply their own materials although, sometimes, some materials are swapped or shared. Craft that is suitable for carrying on a bus is a must but that could include card-making, needle felting, ribbon embroidery, embroidery, crochet, needle painting, knitting and much more; time together will bring lots of ideas.
There is some showcasing of skills and opportunities to build new ideas into your work or to start something completely new.
There can be advice on garment alteration, or help with sewing items already started (no sewing machines, just friendly help and advice); you might come along just once but end up with the crafting bug!

Amongst many on-going crafts, the Craft and Card-Making Group are making poppies towards a display for November 2024 at City URC. We would be grateful for any scraps of wool you may have, particularly but not exclusively red. The Craft and Card-Making Group meet again on Friday 28th April at 11am in the old cafe at City URC. They hope to look at teabag folding (not what you might imagine-have a look at the picture).
Maybe you would like to try or just bring along something to be getting on with your self in the company of others.
